OpenZen App is an app for everyone who wants to be in the Zen Mind.
The app offers you to take mindful moments out of our hectic lives, to give space to return to ourselves, and live each day happily, and more focused to thrive and flourish.

OpenZen App is like a modern app version of a Zen Temple. Temples have long been a place to offer meditation or Zazen, a place to experience nature in tranquility, a place for learning and noticing who we really are, and a place for dialog from our souls.

OpenZen has brought this into an app. Specific functions are:
- Meditation and zazen session guidance lead by Zen2.0 teachers
- Other mindfulness sessions such as zen eating, cleaning practice, and meditative music
- Sounds of nature to still your mind
- Teachings from Zen2.0 conference
- Inquiries (Zen-mondo) to focus on what is important for you
- Gratitude Journal to look back at your day
- Access to scheduled live dialog sessions
- Record of your activities and journals that you can reflect on

OpenZen App is made by the Zen2.0 Foundation which is an International Mindfulness and Zen Conference based out of Kamakura, Japan. It started in 2017 in Japan, and is held every year at the historical Kencho-ji Temple in Kamakura. Every year, Academics, Businesspeople, Technology experts and Scientists, and Spiritual teachers are invited to speak as guest speakers and instructors to inspire people from the mind and body, and aims to create a mindful planet. The content is not limited to Buddhism or Zen, and is open to other ancient wisdoms to offer ways for any one to connect to our true nature.
The OpenZen app reflects the learnings from the Zen2.0, and features contents from the conference as well.

The concept of Zen2.0 borrows from the Three Jewel in Buddhism — Buddha, Dharma and Samgha. This is to:
- Become aware of our true selves (Buddha)
- Learn from the laws of Nature (Dharma), and
- Deepening the connection from the soul (Samgha)
We aim to realise a society in which “Self”, “Nature” and “Community” are in complete harmony.
When we connect to our true selves, connect to nature and connect deeply with others and the community, we can start to co-create a mindful planet.
